SCU/LAPFC MERGER

To All Santa Clarita United Parents and Players,
Our organization recognizes and understands changing market conditions in the SCV soccer community. Our responsibility, to the children that we are dedicated to, drives us to meet the diverse challenges facing SCU. In order to meet that demand and provide greater stability,growth, and excellence for our children, the Santa Clarita United Soccer Club (SCU) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the merger with Los Angeles Premiere Football Club (LAPFC).
The SCU Board feels that LAPFC’s soccer culture and values are well aligned with ours. Our combined goal is to develop our children that are involved the organization into top level athletes who demonstrate excellence on the soccer field and in life. Some of the Improvements that we will realize with the merger include:
1. Being a part of a high quality club with a solid reputation
2. Exposure and assistance with college recruiting
3. Higher level of play with the National Premiere League
4. Improved operation processes
5. Opportunities for coaches expansion to earn higher licensure
6. Continue to be recognized as a premiere soccer club in the SCV
7. Plans to develop the younger soccer player
During the coming weeks SCU and LAPFC will be engaged in the due diligence necessary to create a smooth transition. We intend to hold a town hall meeting to address the various questions time and location TBA. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and commitment to embracing this positive change in the development of our children.

Santa Clarita United is the first soccer club establised in 1988 out of the Santa Clarita Valley. SCU continues its long ongoing tradition of providing the best quality training available for the competitive ages of U9’s through U19’s. At SCU we’re the only soccer club which invites you to voice your opinions (Open Board Meetings) & elect your Board Members every two years. SCU has and continues to provide the following to its members:
